Our Newest Little Blessing

Lets regress into the more recent past.

As life goes, we were blessed to find out shortly after we lost Amberlee, that we were expecting another baby. Of course the pregnancy was tons of fun, and I just enjoyed ever single second of it *insert eyeroll*. Anyway, after 8.5 short months, I mean amazingly LONG months of pregnancy the doctor decided to leave town. Hahaha. Of course he was gracious enough to deliver Riesse first.

On the night of the 7th we went to he hospital after a lovely dinner at the Islands with Mike, Donna, and all of eight of our squishies (children). We arrived at 10pm, but the hospital staff checked us in and then forgot we were there, or at least the front desk person alluded to that fact. Finally, we walked back to our room and got ready to go. At about 12:30 am, after a couple more snags in the road, they started inducing labor. After a couple easy pushes Riesse was born at 6:09 am. Kyle even got to catch her, which he thought was simply unbelievable.

She is healthy and she is beautiful, and she does not look like any of our other newborns. In fact she looks just like my brother's newborn pictures (just a bit more feminine).
So she was born April 8, 2008, and she weighed in at 8lbs and 4 ozs; she was 21 inches long, with light brown hair and dark blue eyes. She is a very good baby. Of course she doesn't sleep all that well yet, but she only cries if she really needs something.
